Tasked with illustrating a children's book, I decided to collaborate with a friend who had written an original story about the beginning of the rainforest. The book introduces a little girl who lives in the rainforest and one night listens to a tale from a wise howler monkey. The story (within a story) follows two woodpeckers and how they helped make the rainforest come alive.

I chose to illustrate the book in a full-vector style, which allowed me to capture tiny details and to create rich, vibrant colors.
